Person-Centeredness: ability to perceive another as a unique and distinct individual. It is related to cognitive complexity because it entails abstract thinking and a breadth of schemata. Our ability to perceive others as unique dependents, first, on how well we make cognitive distinctions. (Perception and Communicationa page 87, Julia T. Wood 2004)
