The Center for Health Studies (CHS) is the research department for Group Health Cooperative. Founded in 1983 by Dr. Ed Wagner, CHS has grown to over 200 employees working on approximately 150 studies at any given time and has published nearly 2,000 articles in peer-reviewed journals1. Its funding is sourced primarily by outside sources such as the National Cancer Institute and the Center for Disease Control.
