Centennial Bridge (New Brunswick)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Centennial Bridge is an arch truss bridge crossing the Miramichi River in Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada.
Carrying Highway 11 over the river, the bridge connects Douglastown on the north bank of with Chatham on the south bank; both now joined through municipal amalgamation into the city of Miramichi. It opened in 1967 and is named in honour of Canada's centennial year.
Bridges of similar construction in eastern Canada include the Seal Island Bridge and the Burton Bridge.
