User talk:Celebrity historian
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Greetings dear fellow Wikipedians:
I am a Filipino-American accountant with an obvious passion for articles and histories pertaining to my late father's homeland, the Philippines, hence you could understand my choice of categories, on personalities and world events with glaring interest on the Filipino involvement in world conflicts, as seen on my first batch of articles started.
Also in my spheres of interest are little-known world events, past and present, but otherwise have a significant connection to bigger wars. Take my Battle (or battles) of Shimonoseki, it took a lot of hard work, but the real interest is that a little war took place somewhere else in the world involving the United States while its Civil War raged. I love talking about Abraham Lincoln and all Civil War stories too.
Don't get an impression that I'm sort of war junkie but that's my passion. After I finish the Philippine Liberation Campaign, I'll get on a much modern conflict. Did some people want articles on the Iran-Iraq War? That'll be good.
Suggestions are most welcome!
So let's keep Wiki-ed!

- Hi, great job with all these Philippine-related articles you've been making! But you do need to supply a source with all of the images you upload, aside from just saying it's a work of the U.S. government. This is to ensure that Wikipedia doesn't get into legal trouble. Unsourced images may be deleted after a week. Other than that, keep up the good work! You may also be interested in Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines. :)
- By the way, that welcoming statement you have at the top of this page... that's the sort of thing your user page (User:Celebrity historian) is meant for. :p Coffee 13:33, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
