[edit] Move to Celes Chere?

It strikes me that the current, accented title is, essentially, fancruft. We have a note in the article that explicitly states that her name is not written with an accent in the game. At best, it looks like we're second-guessing the developers, at worst, it's just wrong. Thoughts? (also, see Sabin René Figaro, where I've said the same thing) – Seancdaug 04:34, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, why not? If this is something that's just fan stuff and the developers have never commented on it, then I don't see why it has any basis being here. Would be interesting if the original creator or person who did replied on the reasoning behind it. Otherwise, I think moving it is a good idea. Agent0042 05:14, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Seconded. If Square says there's no accents, well, there's no accents then, unless they change their mind or something. =) --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 20:18, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

It looks like it's been changed. I guess we can remove the request tag then? Agent0042 04:00, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
Yeah. Sorry, I should've gotten that sooner. – Seancdaug 05:04, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Locke?

Should there be a section about Celes' relationship with Locke in this article? I know enough about FF6 to know that the two interact significantly (though there is not an overt romance), but not enough to actually create the section on it. Any other thoughts?

[edit] Name

I always thought that Celes' name derived from 'celestial' meaning from the heavens, sort of as a foil to the name Terra which means 'Earth.' But I suppose since Terra's name in the original Japanese is Tina, that sort of throws that theory out the window.

Dave.
