cellcasting means to produce and offer a media file by phone. The name comprises the word "cellular" and "podcasting" (originally "broadcasting"). A single cellcast can contain a series of audio pieces (episodes).

To produce a cellcast one need to register with www.cellcast.de free of charge. Each user will register his personal telephone numbers. These will be compared and allocated to the user upon calling. This is to ensure that cellcast can only be recorded to the own account. Each user can create as much cellcasts referring to as much topics as he likes.

Upon registration the user can create an audio piece by calling a special number, and it will be immediately and automatically stored as MP3-file on the website.
