Celebrationism

Celebrationism, closely identified with the more narrowly defined celebrityism, is a term coined by Andy Warhol in an interview in the 1970s, and refers to the phenomenon of celebrating certain persons or things to the exclusion of others. Warhol said:

Celebrationism doesn't really have much to do with celebrations. With celebrationism, all of life is a party and every day is a holliday [sic].
