Cedric Leonard Houston (born June 28, 1982 in Clarendon, Arkansas) is a running back with the New York Jets of the NFL. He was selected in the 6th round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He attended the University of Tennessee, where he was a 3-year starter. He and Gerald Riggs Jr. became the first players in Volunteers history to both amass 1,000 yards in the same season.

After Curtis Martin went down with an injury in the 2nd half of the 2005 NFL season, Houston became the starter and performed well.

Houston was involved in a car accident on the night of April 21st. He was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he was treated and released where his injuries were said to be not life threatening. The New York Jets did not have comment and will not until a team doctor gives an examination of Houston.[1]

Houston holds the Arkansas High School Athletic Association record for career touchdowns with 97 from 1998-2000 at Clarendon HS (AR).
