Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens

The Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens 75 acres (304,000 m²) are a new arboretum and botanical gardens on a site leased from Hawkeye Community College, located at 1927 East Orange Road, Waterloo, Iowa. It is open April 1-October 31st to the public daily from dawn to dusk. There is no admission fee.

The Gardens began in 1995. Their plan includes an arboretum, botanical gardens, prairie, and a conservatory. At present 24 acres (97,000 m²) are under development, with an additional 15 acres (61,000 m²) of prairie, and over 450 trees native to Iowa have been planted in the Sesquicentennial Forest honoring the state's 150th anniversary.
