From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cedar Block Piru is a Bloods gang from the west side of Compton, CA that has been active since about 1980. They are approximetly south of Rosecrans Avenue and north of W Arbutus Street between the Compton Creek and Elm Street. Part of their neighborhood overlaps with the Tree Top Pirus. Their closest Crip rival are Palmer Blocc Compton Crips just south of Palmer Street.
The rapper The Game, who released his first album, The Documentary on January 18, 2005 on Aftermath/G-Unit/Interscope records is from this neighborhood, and has mentioned it in music. For example in the song 300 Bars & Runnin' he said, I ain't hot top for colors, I'm from Cedar Block So I got my hot tops that make your breathing stop.
