Cecilia Soto González is one of the Mexican politician and candidate of Labor Party to the Presidency of Mexico in the year 1994, less obtained little of a million votes and little less of 3% of the voting with which its party could obtain its definitive registry, is possible to emphasize that the PT already was lost their conditional registry like political party in the year 1991. In this election grove it managed to be in fourth place.
She started to the political carrier as member of the Authentic Party of the Mexican Revolution and resigned to him to accept the presidential postulation of the PT. When finishing the presidential fight and in spite of the good results of its candidacy, had problems with the direction of the party when this it did not accept to discuss a series of reforms that she proposed reason why she moved away of him.
She was represent as a deputy in the local Chamber of Deputy in the State of Sonora from 1988 to 1991, between 1991 and 1994 she represent as a deputy for the State of Sonora in the LV Legislature of Chamber of Deputies.
In 2000, Vicente Fox appoint her as an Ambassador of Mexico to Brazil position to it in which it remained until 2006.
In 2006, she support to the PAN candidate, Felipe Calderón.
