Club Deportivo Baskonia is a Spanish/Basque football club based in Basauri, Vizcaya. The club was founded in 1913 as CD Basconia and during its history has also been known as CD Vasconia . Although initially a separate club, since 1997 they have been affiliated to Athletic Bilbao. Today they are effectively a second reserve team or youth team of Athletic. They currently play in the Tercera División - Group 4 and are ineligible for promotion unless Bilbao Athletic are also promoted. Several of the current Athletic Bilbao team have played for CD Baskonia.

The ACB basketball team Saski Baskonia was founded in 1959 as the basketball section of CD Baskonia, but is now an independent club.
