I'm Alexander Cazort Zorach. I was born in 1980, and I graduated Oberlin College in 2002. I'm currently a graduate student in mathematics at University of Delaware, as of 2006-7. In the past, I have worked in operations research for GCRTA, and I have run my own computer consulting company, called Sustainable Computing. I also have worked in and published one paper in the area of theoretical ecology, while working at UMCES.

My primary interest on this site is in ecology-related articles, and articles related to alternative currency, particularly those with demurrage fees. I also spend some time adding, expanding, and keeping accurate the information on public transportation in the U.S, and linking this information to the relevant pages. I also have peripheral wikipedia interests in urban planning, and open source software (and copyleft in general). I almost exclusively use Gentoo Linux on my computers, which span three different architectures.

I am also a Go player, and a birdwatcher.
