Talk:Cayuga-Seneca Canal

[edit] History
I am not sure we really need the history of the village of Waterloo in this entry about the canal. It seems a digression, as does the information about Mynderse and Millard Fillmore. This section also needs some cleanup and focus, there is a little too much in there about "the Falls", this article should stick to focusing on the Canal itself. -ebedgert
Again, there seems to be more digression about industry and businesses around the Canal which distract from the purpose of the entry: Job Smith, Seneca Falls’ first businessman, opened a portage company on the eastern end of the river in 1787. The company transported travelers, boats and goods around a mile-long series of rapids with a 2-foot drop known as “the Falls.” -ebedgert
