From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cayo Guillermo is an island and part of the Republic of Cuba. It lies north of the main island of Cuba in the province of Ciego de Ávila, at 22.595° N 78.6663889° W. The island is a popular tourist destination. It has only four hotels and has at the northern tip one of the world's top 10 beaches, which is often shown on travel adverts, two of the hotels are owned by the sol melia group. The international airport is Cayo Coco Airport (Aeropuerto Jardines del Rey) (IATA: CCCICAO: MUCC).

On the islands, Cuban citizens are not allowed unless they are working, and for that they have to get a bus from the mainland; the exeption to this is the hotel management and a select few other staff.
