Cauterize is a punk rock band from Oshawa, Ontario, formerly known as T.O.E., that consists of Jesse Smith (guitar, lead vocals), Josh Slater (guitar, vocals), Chuck Coles (guitar, vocals), Jason Bone (bass, vocals), and Matt Worobec (drums).

Cauterize was formerly signed to Wind-Up Records, but left citing creative differences after So Far From Real. On July 22nd of 2005, they released their second album, Paper Wings without a label.

Recently they were signed by High4Records and are currently demoing five new tracks with Greg Nori (Treble Charger, Sum 41, Autopilot Off) to add to the planned re-release of Paper Wings. They are working on releasing it in North America, UK, and Australasia with exclusive bonus content for every region. The first single of Paper Wings is set to be Closer. There is also a plan to shoot a music video for the song. With the re-recording of Paper Wings, the new album maybe released under a new name and have a bonus Acoustic CD only available when pre-ordering the album. The album release date was originally supposed to be early 2006, but has been bumped back time and time again, with the latest estimate being early summer 2007.
