It is a stub within a series of spline information. I have altered the context to bring it in line with the other complete articles. If that isn't enough context, then the entire series of mathematics articles should be flagged. Bwagstaff 22:30, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Does Catmull refer to Ed Catmull from Pixar? Or who made this ?

Yes. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Utah and taught there for many years, getting many Computer Science papers and algorithms attributed to him. Bwagstaff 22:30, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
