[edit] Cathy L. Lanier
A tag has been placed on Cathy L. Lanier, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
[edit] Is somebody too quick on the trigger
The speedy delete was inserted onto this page while I was still creating the initial version! She is to become the first woman police cheif for Washington DC. I note that her predecessor Charles H. Ramsey has a page. Where's the consistency? -- 18:54, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- I have removed the speedy delete tag as this article does not meet speedy delete status since the article states very clearly why she is notable. If anyone disagrees with her notability feel free to attempt an afd. - Ektar 19:12, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for leaving a message on my talk page. As I said there, Newpage Patrollers are often very fast and I nominated this article for deletion based on a speed-read. I apologize for that and I think this is a great improvement. Obviously needs a bit of work but fantastic improvement nevertheless. Ekantik 01:18, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
