Cattenom (German: Kattenhofen) is a small French commune in the département of Moselle, Lorraine. It has just over 2,000 inhabitants and lies about 8 kilometers north of Thionville.
Cattenom is well known for its nuclear power plant, which was built from 1987 to 1992. It is the third largest in France as far as electric output goes.
