Cathy's Clown is a popular hit song, first made popular in 1960 by The Everly Brothers. Their version peaked at #1 in late-May and early-June of 1960, and became one of their biggest hit singles.

It has been covered by Reba McEntire as a Country song on the album Sweet Sixteen.

It is also a song by Australian rock band You Am I. It appears on the albums Hi Fi Way and The Cream And The Crock.

It was covered by Dee Dee Ramone for his solo album Greatest and Latest in 2001, with his wife Barbara Zampini on bass and vocals.

It can be heard in the movie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Commitments_%28film%29) The Commitments (1991).

The title (Cathy's Clown) is mentioned in the song Waltz #2 by Elliott Smith, off of the album XO.
