Catherine Nolan

Catherine Nolan of Queens, New York is an New York Assemblywoman, elected in 1984 to represent the 37th district. A gifted public speaker, Assemblywoman Nolan is a member of the Democratic leadership in the Assembly and has served as Chair of both the Labour and Banking Committee during her career. Despite no longer being a member of the Labour Committee, Assemblywoman Nolan has continued to push legistation which protects workers rights in New York State. In January 2006, Assemblywoman Nolan was appointed as Chair of the Assembly Standing Committee on Education and has continued to prove herself a more capable politician. Nolan is also a member of the highly influential Rules and Ways & Means Committee, making her an important figure in New York State politics.
