Cathal Naughton (born 1987) is an Irish sportsman. He is a member of the Cork senior hurling team.
Cathal Naughton was born in Newtownshandrum, County Cork in 1987. He was educated locally and was noted as a great all-rounder at various sports. He moved to England as a Nottingham Forest F.C. trainee after being spotted playing with his local Charleville F.C. However, his love of hurling brought him back to Ireland where he plays with his native Newtownshandrum and is a member of the panel of the Cork senior hurling team. He made his championship debut in the 2006 All-Ireland semi-final, coming on as a substitute against Waterford and scoring a goal and a point with his first two touches of the sliothar.
