Cathair Mor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cathair Mor was a legendary 2nd century High King of Ireland, ancestral to many dynasties of Leinster. He ruled for only two or three years, principally by conducting bloody wars. He died in the battle of Moigh Acha, in Meath, against Conn of the Hundred Battles. He is known for bequeathing two chess tables in his will, which he made just prior to the fatal battle.
