Cathédrale Saint-Caprais d'Agen

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Made a cathedral in 1801 to replace the ruined cathedral of Saint-Etienne, Saint Caprais was originally a canons' church which dates back to the 12th century. The nave dates from the 13th century. The bell tower was constructed in the 19th century.

As with many churches in southern France, the structure is in the form of a Latin cross.

The church is a national monument of France.
