Catalina Aruca Hickey is a fictional character on the NBC sitcom My Name Is Earl, played by Nadine Velazquez.

An attractive Hispanic maid at the motel where Earl Hickey and his brother Randy reside. She is an illegal immigrant who entered the United States on January 1st, 2000 (just as Earl and the gang assumed they were the last humans alive). She appears to be from Latin America, though she specifically mentioned to Joy Darville that she is not Mexican. She apparently learned English a year prior to the first season. She worked for a month as a pole dancer at Club Chubby, the local strip club, and was very successful at it because instead of dancing, she jumped. She has a fear of snakes and rape. Her mother is dead but assures friends they shouldn't feel bad about it: "It's OK; it was either her or me." She also has several siblings, including a brother who killed her father, and several who "haven't been seen since the flood." It has been implied that she murdered someone. She and Joy have a mutual hatred stemming back to when they first met; the first thing Joy ever said to Catalina was "Who's the whore?" During season two, she went back to stripping in order to help Earl, although she had to help Joy along the way. She seems to be very fond of Earl and tries to make a move on him in the pilot (although Earl explains to her that Randy had already called "dibs" on her). Her last name Aruca has never been mentioned on the show but was revealed in a newspaper article in "Bad Karma".

Randy had a large crush on her which started when she first came to clean his and Earl's motel room (when he tapped the half asleep Earl and muttered, "dibs"). He looked for excuses to be with her as much as possible. In season two, Catalina marries Randy in order to get back to the US after Earl got her deported. Once back in America, Catalina soon gets an apartment and Randy ends up telling her that he loves her. Catalina tells Randy that she loves him back, so as not to embarrass him in front of the Crab Shack crowd, but she confides in Earl that she doesn't really mean it. Joy suggests that she has sex with Randy but make the experience so awful that Randy will not love her. She takes Joy's advice, exercising vigorously while wearing heavy clothes, and rubbing fish and stinky cheese over her body so that she smells terrible. She then has sex with Randy, at one point role-playing as if she was Randy's mother to further ruin the experience. Afterwards, a seemingly regretful Catalina said it was the best sex she ever had. Unfortunately, Randy was disgusted by the experience and says "You're right, this is a green card marriage." Catalina vows to get Randy back.

Catalina occasionally breaks the fourth wall by speaking in Spanish, usually speaking directly to the audience.
