Casuarina Square is the largest shopping centre in the Northern Territory. It is situated in Darwin's northern suburbs and features over 180 specialty stores. The centre is situated above the ground and is cyclone proof, due to cyclones that sweep through the area like Cyclone Tracy of the 1950's. The centre features a Kmart, Big W, Woolworths and Coles, as well as a 7 screen cinema. It is proposed that a David Jones store will open here in 2008-2009.
