Castiglione d'Orcia is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Siena in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 90 km southeast of Florence and about 40 km southeast of Siena. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,530 and an area of 141.7 km2.[1]

The municipality of Castiglione d'Orcia contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bagni San Filippo, Belvedere, Campiglia d'Orcia, Masse, Montieri, Osteria Gallina, Ripa, Rocca d'Orcia, and Vivo d'Orcia.

Castiglione d'Orcia borders the following municipalities: Abbadia San Salvatore, Castel del Piano, Montalcino, Pienza, Radicofani, San Quirico d'Orcia, Seggiano.
