Casterton, Cumbria

Casterton is a small village close to Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria, England. It approximately 5 miles from junction 36 (Kendal & the Lakes exit) of the M6 motorway.
The largest buildings in the village are at Casterton School, a private girls school. Casterton School was originally Clergy Daughters' School at nearby Cowan Bridge, where the Brontë sisters attended.
Casterton boasts a private 9 hole golf course, The Pheasant Inn and the Holy Trinity Church. The church being built by the Casterton School founder Reverend William Carus Wilson.
