Castelnuovo Scrivia is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 90 km east of Turin and about 20 km northeast of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,617 and an area of 45.4 km2.[1]
The municipality of Castelnuovo Scrivia contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Gerbidi, Ova, Pilastro, and Secco.
Castelnuovo Scrivia borders the following municipalities: Alzano Scrivia, Casei Gerola, Guazzora, Isola Sant'Antonio, Molino dei Torti, Pontecurone, Sale, and Tortona.
