Castellina in Chianti is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Siena in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 35 km south of Florence and about 15 km northwest of Siena. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,820 and an area of 99.4 km2.[1]
The municipality of Castellina in Chianti contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Fonterutoli, Lilliano, Piazza, Rencine, San Leonino, San Quirico, and Sant'Agnese.
