Castaspella is a fictional heroine in the animated television series She-Ra: Princess of Power. She is a member of The Great Rebellion. As her name implies she is a sorceress and is able to wield great magic. She is the Queen of Mystacor.

She was taught her magical abilities by a sorcerer called Norwyn, who used white magic. He also tutored the now evil Shadow Weaver^[1]. Castaspella worked hard for her power but Shadow Weaver was tempted by evil. The two have now become bitter enemies, but were once great friends, so much so that Castaspella knows enough that she can pre-empt any spells that Shadow weaver may use to beat the Rebellion. Once Castaspella had achieved her great power, she was deemed suitable to be the ruler of Mystacor. Not long after this her kingdom was captured by an evil witch named Mortella. She drained some of Castaspella's power and turned her into a weak old woman. Bow and She-Ra, working together, discovered the source of Mortella's power and destroyed it. With Mortella now powerless Castaspella reverted to her normal self^[2].

In a later She-Ra episode, Castaspella sees Adora's brother Prince Adam for the first time and becomes very smitten with him, (so much so that she 'accidentally' leaves the Pool of Vision active, thereby pulling him into Etheria). Prince Adam also shows a mutual interest in her as well. At the end of the episode, when Adora teasingly said that her brother liked Castaspella a 'little bit,' Castaspella assured her to give her some time.

Castaspella at one time took an apprentice of her own named Ariel^[3].

Castaspella, being a sorceress, has many magical abilities at her disposal. She has exhibited powers such as teleportation, materialisation, and transformation. Castaspella has also demonstrated on various occasions, her vast knowledge of all things magical and mystical^[4]. Castaspella also has great knowledge of things of a magical nature. She also wears a pair of magical discs on her bracelets that fire energy blasts.
