A Praetorian Prefect loyal to Domitian, who after the ascension of the Emperor Nerva, laid siege to the Imperial Capital - in order to capture the men responsible for Domitians death, who had been unpunished by Nerva. After Nerva's death and the rise of Trajan, Aelianus was executed.
