Stanford Sierra Camp is a summer camp near Fallen Leaf Lake, California.[1]
Stanford Sierra Camp is a 20 acre lakefront moutain property owned and operated by the Stanford Alumni Association.
During the summer season (Middle of June until the week after Labor Day) Stanford Camp hosts an Alumni Only Family Summer Camp. Beginning on Saturday 64 families check into cabins and lodge rooms to participate in programming organized and hosted by Stanford Undergraduates. These programs include educational and fun children's groups, hikes, arts & crafts, and an assortment of outdoor entertainment.
Famous writer John Steinbeck helped to build several of the cabins at camp the year after he dropped out of Stanford.
