I'm the person who added these bullet points, and I am happy to see them removed now. At the time, it was a compromise to reconcile conflicting viewpoints. Since then, the use of Name (surname) pages (and of the {{surname}} template in place of {{hndis}}) has defused the conflict by taking the disputed material out of Category:Disambiguation.

The following pages (created by different editors within the last fortnight) are in Category Disambiguation (because they contain {{hndis}}). Welling (surname)

Ba (surname)

Pilkington (surname)

Gaynor

Agbayani

I think surname pages need their own separate template, placing them in Category:Surnames but not Category:Disambiguation - because they are lists not disambiguations. hndis would remain for disambiguation pages (such as John Smith).

Zhou (surname) not dab

In my opinion, these pages shouldn't be in category disambiguation, because the articles don't share the same title.
