[edit] Boyd's evaluation

I cite Boyd's evaluation because:

  • Other comments on Carrousel are rare;
  • Boyd is highly respected;
  • Boyd's comments are terse.

As nobody has argued against this, I'm about to readd the evaluation. -- Hoary 21:59, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

This has just been removed for a third time, with the edit summary "deleting the remark of a scholar out of his field".

Brian Boyd is most certainly within his field here: he's the writer of the definitive biography of Nabokov (from which this is quoted), a book devoted to Ada, a book devoted to Pale Fire, and much other work on Nabokov. -- Hoary 02:26, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
