Chatting to the National Trust man at Carrick-a-Rede yesterday I was told that no fishing has taken place from the island for the last 5 years as catches had dropped from 300 fish a day in the 1960's to 300 in a whole season by 2001 due to over-fishing.

I'll amend the article if no-one objects.
