[edit] Elimination of POV
For User:CieloEstrellado - Please stop trying to insert your POV on every single text about the Pinochet years. If, as you slyly imply, are just interested in a better use of the english language, then DO correct the language, not use the opportunity to insert extraneous adjectives that do not add an iota of information to the text. Also, I would reccomend that you DO NOT add elements of your own unsubstantiated ideas to the article. Facts are welcome, not gratuitous abuse. The facts are horrific enough on their own for them to need to be embellished by false details of what YOU think it may have transpired. The truth usually can defend itself. Thanks. [edit] Changes - Explanation
Fine. I see I will have to expound on the changes, so you won't keep on including misleading information: a) The official version refers to the version presented by the MILITARY PATROL, not by the "dictatorship" as you, in your biased editing, insist. That version is based on their official declarations during the investigation, and is reflected in the official documents of the trial. The government never presented any explanation at the time, simply refering the case as a "investigation in progress" (check the newspaper archives of the time for the official government declarations) b) the local people who found the bodies abandoned on the irrigation ditch DID NOT take them to the local hospital, as you insist on including. They simply notified the police (Carabineros), who in turn, took them to a local hospital (Posta Central), from where they were later derivated to a more specialized hospital. If you don't want to believe the official "dictatorship" documents about that, at least read the declarations of the mother and uncle of Rodrigo Rojas, both contained in their webpages, and readily accessible from the corresponding links. c) I see no purpose in deleting the information about what the injured were doing in the place or what implements were they carrying. Including that information doesn't make them deserving of what happened to them, or the military patrol less guilty. But it gives a sense of fairness in portraying the spirit of the times. I could continue, but I think those 3 examples are enough to prove my point. As for making the entry more readable, and to presume of being able to improve on my english, well, I see those charges as ad hominem, only designed to bolster your weak scholarship, and truly they don't bear any relevance to the matter at hand...
