Clarification

Greg Williams was playing for the Swans when he won his first Brownlow.

As there was no article for Steve Kernahan I have started one. Please have a look and see if it can be improved.Fat Red 11:05, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

Logo

why did someone change the 2006 carlton logo back to the old one?

Out of interest, why is the monogram now considered a new logo by itself? Has the club officially ditched the classic carlton emblem? Orichalcon 14:00, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

yes they did. notice on thier website how its changed. also on their jumper its changed. the classic logo is no longer used.

The classic logo was never used on the jumpers. It was always just the CFC monogram. I'm asking if there's any official word on whether the change is permanent. Also, please sign your messages. Orichalcon 08:27, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

i see what you mean now. when you said "logo" i thought you ment the CFC monogram. im fairly sure they've ditched the classic logo, they may still use it for offical letterheads and stuff like that. but on all of their clothing and membership gear its the new rounder monogram as the new logo.

The logo has changed. On all new corporate clothing and advertising it is simply the CFC monogram. The version that I have uploaded (Image:carlton.png) is the official colours and dimensions as shown on the AFL website. The version that Dnxy53 keeps changing it too can therefore be considered unofficial and I believe that it should not be used. Seth Cohen 10:37, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

All right. They're still using the emblem for merchandise in stores though, oddly enough. I don't think they've necessarily "replaced" the logo with just the monogram, it may just be a simpler way of expressing the clubs logo, while the emblem remains the true logo. Since the monogram by itself is kind of boring, doesn't have a lot of appeal. Couldn't see Collingwood ever giving up on their emblem. Orichalcon 16:52, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Logo issue finally resolved. The logo is OFFICAL as is can get... it was sent to Wikipedia from the AFL. Seth Cohen 05:06, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Whats happened to the blues?

A former dominator of the competition, Carlton, is now in deep trouble. Salary cap trouble, missing draft pics and now hovering at the bottom of the ladder. Things dont look good. The only shining light of the carlton team is Brendan Fevola. He is kicking at least 4 goals a game and is carrying the team.

There are several Carlton forums linked on the main article where you can discuss these things. Orichalcon 21:10, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

There are several forums for all the other topics you've plastered with your opinions across wikipedia aswell. Raider2044 BioTalkContribs 01:07, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Was that an attack? I was suggesting that whoever posted that comment would get more feedback on the forums, rather than tucked away here. Orichalcon 03:09, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Orichalcon, you have it mistunderstood, my comment was pointed at the previous posting, not yours. The user at 202.134.34.186 likes using wikipedia as a forum, thats all. I agree with the comment you made, and am not trying to attack anyone, but my comment was ponted at them, not you. Raider2044 BioTalkContribs 03:51, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
All right, I wasn't quite sure who you were directing that comment at, guess I got it wrong! Orichalcon 14:53, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Comment on recent history

i'm translating the page in Italian, since it's missing on it:, I found that some comments on the socialistic salary cap and the capitalism of Carlton style of recruiting players are a little bit over the line, and not adequate for a sport article, that I think must not contain any politics, I'll rather delete them, do you agree?

Dedee

I have to agree with Dedee. Specifically, I think the first paragraph in this section is currently compromised by it's political opinions and writing style. It should be updated to reflect the style and tone of the rest of the article. The Purple Nazz 23:46, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Presidents

I updated the Presidents list and it now reflects a complete list of Carlton F.C. Presidents from the establishment of the club to present day. I also adjusted the dates of Presidents to reflect actual occupancy of the Presidency.Ningbojoe 03:39, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Much appreciated. Great work. Raider2044 BioTalkContribs 09:54, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Playing List

Someone has added a soccer styled playing list which looks great, but unfortunately the positions are all linked to soccer positions which is really confusing. Maybe someone could come up with a club list template specifically tailored for Australian Rules/AFL. --Rulesfan 23:44, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Jumpers

What happened to them. Most other clubs have pictures of the jumpers. --Rulesfan 23:45, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Sub-Heading Recent History needs complete re-write

The sub-heading Recent History of this article is hardly NPOV and needs a complete re-write to bring it up to a encyclopedic standards. If you have views on this please detail them here before that re-writing takes place next week. --VS talk...images 18:24, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
