[edit] Comparative size of Copenhagen

As far as I remember, Copenhagen is normally estimated to have had a population of c. 10,000 in the 18th century. If this number also applied in the preceding century, Carlstad might have been even bigger than the Danish capital. However, Copenhagen's population in 1658-60 was probably larger than normally, probably with an influx of refugees and troops. Valentinian T / C 19:48, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
