Cartmel College, Lancaster University, was originally sited in the north end of the university campus, and extended in 1969. In 2004, the whole college was moved to a new development at the south west of the campus, Alexandra Park. The college is now based around a refurbished Barker House Farm, and is alongside Lonsdale College is one of only two Lancaster colleges to boast entirely en-suite accommodation.

This College has a modern bar area with two actual bars. There are also two big screens. One is in the bar area itself, while the second is in the dining area. These are especially busy when there is a highly anticipated event being broadcast, such as the Football World Cup. There is also a JCR area with seating, pool tables, IT-boxes, a jukebox and a dart board. The JCR has a DJ area that is often used during College Socials.
