Carrieles are either made of rawhide or nutria fur, typical of the Antioquia region of Colombia. This bag is synonymous with paisa culture and commerce and is a beloved symbol of the industriousness and honesty of antioqueños. It is part of folkloric dress of the region and is also used by modern businessmen throughout the country.
