Carpatho-Rusyn Society

The Carpatho-Rusyn Society (C-RS) is an American nonprofit organization promoting Rusyn culture in the United States as well in the homeland in east Central Europe.
Established in 1994 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, C-RS has over 1,700 members worldwide. John Righetti has been its president and spokesman since its inception. The group's flagship publication is The New Rusyn Times.
Since 1998, C-RS and The Andy Warhol Museum have presented an annual festival celebrating Rusyn culture along side the art of Andy Warhol, one of the most influential 20th century American artists and himself of Carpatho-Rusyn descent.
C-RS in 2004 purchased the historic former Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Munhall, Pennsylvania to convert it into the nation's first National Carpatho-Rusyn Cultural Center.
