Carolyn Suzanne Sapp
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Carolyn Suzanne Sapp (b. 1967) is Miss America 1992 and the former Miss Hawaii 1991. She is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University, which also sponsored her entry pageant into the Miss Hawaii contest.
After her reign, Sapp starred as herself in the autobiographical television movie Miss America: Behind the Crown. It was about the abusive relationship she had with her ex-boyfriend and former pro football player, Nuu Faaola. The attention to this relationship during her reign lead to a dramatic increase in calls to domestic abuse hotlines.
