Carolyn Gusoff

Carolyn Gusoff is an Emmy Award-winning reporter with WNBC in New York City, the NBC affiliate. She is also the anchor for their "Today in New York" program on Sunday mornings. Prior to working at WNBC, she worked for Long Island's News 12 and radio and TV outlets in Fort Myers, Florida.
Ms. Gusoff joined WNBC in August 1993 as part of their Long Island Bureau.

In addition to her 1994 for Emmy or On-Camera Performance/General Assignment Reporting, Ms. Gusoff has six New York Emmy nominations for coverage including her reporting of American Airlines Flight 587 crash and The Belmont Stakes. Other awards/citations include dozens of Long Island Coalition "FOLIO" awards; six first place Society of Professional Journalists/Press Club of Long Island awards for deadline and feature reporting; a national award from The American Women in Radio and Television Commendation; a local Emmy award for outstanding coverage of a breaking story; an Associated Press/New York Spot News Award for "Avianca Crash," and a United Press International/New York Broadcast Award for outstanding achievement, investigative documentary, "No Quick Fix." She is a 1980 graduate of George W. Hewlett High School, a 1984 graduate of Cornell University (bachelor's degrees in English and Government) and a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism (a master's degree in Journalism). [2] She is married to Dr. Jon Turk.
