Caroline Catz

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Caroline Catz (born Manchester in 1970), is an English actress, who has starred in films, television programmes, theatre and radio.

On deciding to become an actor, she had to change her birth surname from Caplan to Catz as there was already an actress with that name registered at Equity. She came up with Catz after seeing a doodle of a cat, but ironically she is extremely allergic to cats.

She has appeared in All Quiet on the Preston Front, The Bill, Peak Practice, The Vice and Murder in Suburbia. Her most recent role was in ITV 1's "Doc Martin," where she played primary school teacher Louisa Glasson.

[edit] Personal life

Married to fellow actor Michael Higgs, the couple met on the set of "The Bill" and have a son named Sonny.

Catz plays in a folk band called "Sapphire."
