Carnival Liberty is a Conquest Class cruise ship for Carnival Cruise Lines. She was built by Fincantieri Shipyards in Italy. She was the first Carnival ship to feature the Carnival Seaside Theatre – a 12-foot high by 22-foot wide LED screen located by the pool on the Lido deck, which is used to show movies, sporting events, and concerts. In November 2006, during a transatlantic voyage from Civitavecchia, Italy to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 700 of the 2800 passengers onboard fell ill with Norovirus.
