Carmen Gillespie

Carmen Renee Gillespie (born June 17, 1965) is a poet and scholar specializing in African American and African diaspora literature. Her poetry, which has been anthologized, expresses a wide range of subjects, including her family history, the African-American experience, love, and popular culture. Her scholarly works have been published in many journals, and she is the single author of a Toni Morrison literary companion.
