From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire Constabulary was a police force in the United Kingdom between 1958 and 1968. It was created on 1 July 1958 as an amalgamation of the forces of Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire under section 4 of the Police Act 1946. The force was abolished in 1968, when it was amalgamated with the Mid Wales Constabulary and Pembrokeshire Constabulary to form Dyfed-Powys Police.
