Carlyle Holiday (born October 4, 1981 in San Antonio, Texas) is an American football wide receiver who currently plays for the Green Bay Packers of the NFL. He was signed to the Packers on December 5, 2006. Holiday was the starting quarterback for three years at the University of Notre Dame, leading them to the Gator Bowl. He attended Roosevelt High School in San Antonio. He was a quarterback, where he was named as the Top High School scrambling quarterback in the nation. Even though Carlyle never played college baseball, Holiday was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 44th round of the MLB amateur draft.
Holiday was signed out of free agency by the Packers after being released from the Arizona Cardinals and he made himself part of NFL history as the player to catch Brett Favre's record-breaking completion which made Favre the NFL's all-time leader in completions.
