Carlos Gurpegi Nausia (born September 19, 1980) is a Spanish Football player who plays for Athletic Bilbao. He is a midfielder or defender.
Carlos was banned for two years[1] on the 31st of July, 2006, for testing positive for nandrolone four years ago. The ban has been repeatedly appealed in the past, with Gurpegi claiming, along with evidence found by a Spanish university, that his body produces nandrolone naturally, but the appeals were in vain as he eventually was forced to serve his ban.
